Overview

Vault Family Coaching ("the Service") is operated by Jared Hansen as a sole proprietorship in Las Vegas, NV. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

We take your family's privacy seriously. We collect only what we need to build your child's game system, and we don't sell your data to anyone.

What We Collect

Parent/Guardian Information

• Name
• Email address
• Phone number (for SMS check-ins)

Child Information (Provided by Parent)

• First name
• Age
• Personality traits and preferences (e.g., risk tolerance, surprise preference)
• Interests and hobbies
• Behavioral targets (what the family is working on)
• Reward preferences
• Favorite color

Waitlist Information

• Email address (when you sign up for the waitlist)

How We Use Your Information

• Generate your game system. Your child's profile information is used to create a personalized behavioral game system with custom rules, themes, and materials.
• Send SMS check-ins. If you opt in, we use your phone number to send daily game-related messages via Twilio.
• Communicate with you. We use your email to send updates about your game system and the Service.
• Improve the Service. We may use anonymized, aggregated data to understand usage patterns and improve our game systems.

Children's Privacy

We do not collect information directly from children. All child information is provided by the parent or legal guardian during the onboarding process. Children do not create accounts, log in, or interact with the Service directly.

Because we collect child information only from parents/guardians (not from children themselves), the Service does not trigger COPPA's direct-collection requirements. That said, we treat all child data with extra care and limit its use strictly to generating and managing the family's game system.

Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as your subscription is active and your game system is in use. If you request deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days.

Waitlist email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or we remove them after the waitlist period ends.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information:

• All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
• Database access is restricted with role-based access controls.
• API keys and credentials are stored securely and never exposed to clients.

No system is 100% secure. If you believe your data has been compromised, please contact us immediately.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you and your child.
• Correct any inaccurate information.
• Delete your data — just email us and we'll take care of it within 30 days.

SMS Policy

• SMS check-ins are opt-in only. You choose whether to receive them during onboarding.
• Message frequency is typically 1–2 messages per day.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP at any time to opt out.
• Reply HELP for assistance.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie for admin authentication. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party advertising cookies. That's it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email or SMS. The "Effective" date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest version.
